The schoolyard can be a wild and unruly place, but even battle-hardened sissies need a sense of honor and fairness -- all those triumphs and humiliations don't mean nearly as much otherwise. That's why we created the Sissyfight Honor Code, with the help of many thoughtful players from the Sissyfight community. Listed below are the rules that all Sissyfighters are expected to play, fight, and live by while using this site.

The Sissyfight Honor Code

Updated October, 2003

1. Multisessioning. You may not play Sissyfight in more than one window at the same time. This includes playing two different Sissyfighters at the same time, playing the same Sissyfighter in more than one school, or using custom software to automate gameplay.

2. Offensive comments and personal attacks. Catty insults and trash-talking are allowed in Sissyfight. But unacceptable behavior includes:
* hate speech of any kind, including racist, sexist, and homophobic language
* threats of real life violence, hacking, or malicious activity against another player
* personal attacks concerning someone's real life identity
* comments that reveal private information about another player against their wishes
* any kind of libelous or slanderous comments about another player (the real-life player, not their Sissyfight persona or their actions in-game)

3. Outside Communication. When you're playing a game of Sissyfight, you should only communicate with the other players using the in-game chat bubbles. Any other method of communication is cheating, including programs like ICQ and AOL Instant Messenger, telephone, smoke signals, and even talking with someone in the same room. If you cheat, you may be hunted down and ruthlessly humiliated by vigilante anti-cheater organizations. If a Sissyfight staff member catches you cheating, you may be penalized for cheating... so don't do it! Talking in secret code or foreign languages within the game is not considered cheating, and neither is strategizing with a friend before a game starts.

4. Message Board rules. When posting on the Sissyfight Message Boards, you must abide by the rules set by the board's moderator. Posts made on the Sissyfight Message Boards may be edited or deleted without notice to the author by the moderator of the board or any member of the Sissyfight staff. If you don't follow the board's rules, you may be banned from posting there. Hotlinking (linking directly to someone else's server without their permission) is not allowed on the message boards.

5. Fair Play. Games that involve no real competition are not in the spirit of fair play and are not compatible with the Honor Code. Players who significantly benefit from such games are subject to penalties.

6. Disruption of Play. You may not disrupt other players' discussion, chatting, or gameplay. For instance, excessive posting on the message boards and "flooding" (rapidly sending lots of chat messages, in order to fill up a chat window and make it impossible for others to talk) in the homeroom are not allowed. For the same reason, posting very large images on the message boards is also not allowed.

7. Other Disruptive Behavior. Behavior or activities designed to disrupt the Sissyfight community, harass a player or players, or invade their privacy, will not be tolerated. Anyone using this website or the Sissyfight servers for this kind of activity will be subject to penalties and/or banning. Exactly what constitutes deliberate disruption and harassment is left to the judgment of the staff.

8. Impersonation. Impersonating a member of the Sissyfight staff is strictly against the rules. Also, you may not create temporary or registered Sissyfighters with the sole purpose of impersonating another player, or access another player's account in any way without their permission.

9. Threats. Threatening or harassing board moderators or any member of the Sissyfight staff is not allowed, and may result in being banned from playing.

10. E-mail address. You must use a valid e-mail address so that we can contact you in case of a problem with your Sissyfighter. Sissyfighters without valid e-mail addresses may be modified without notification, because we won't have any way to get in touch with you.

11. Privacy. We will keep your e-mail address private. Sissyfight records the IP address of the computer you use to connect to the Sissyfight server, but we will keep your IP address private. However, we reserve the right to make our server records public, without revealing specific IP addresses. This means that people playing or posting under more than one different name can and will be identified in problem situations.

12. Age restrictions. For legal reasons, if you are under the age of 13, you are not allowed to play Sissyfight, chat in Homeroom, post to the message boards, or send private messages via the message boards. Sorry, kids.

13. Copyrighted material. You may not reproduce or republish any material from this website, including content from the game itself, without permission from Word Media Corp. (That's us.) In addition, you may not post or transmit any content that infringes on any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or other proprietary rights of any party.

14. Unsolicited advertising. You may not use Sissyfight or the Sissyfight Message Boards to post or transmit any unsolicited advertising, promotional materials, junk mail, spam, chain letters, or any other form of solicitation.

15. Unauthorized access. Accessing the sissyfight.com web server or game servers in order to attempt to damage or disrupt their operation is not allowed. Use of any non-standard software is subject to banning by the Sissyfight staff.

16. Illegal activities. You may not use Sissyfight or the Sissyfight Message Boards to promote or conduct any kind of illegal activities.

17. Sexual Misconduct. All explicit sexual discussions must be confined to the appropriate Message Boards (The Girls' Bathroom and The Locker Room). No explicit sexual talk is allowed in the game. "Cybering" is not allowed. Statutory sexual advances by adults toward minors are strictly forbidden. Such advances are illegal and anyone suggesting such activity will be banned. As operators of this website we take our legal obligations seriously and will forward information about any illegal sexual advances to the appropriate authorities.

18. Penalties. If you break any of these rules, you may incur one or more of the following penalties at the discretion of the Sissyfight staff: loss of brownie points, temporary suspension of Sissyfight account, revoking of Message Board posting privileges, permanent deletion of Sissyfight account, permanent ban from playing Sissyfight. In some cases we may also contact your Internet Service Provider if we feel you may have violated their standards or terms of service.

19. Warnings. Our policy is to warn rule-breakers before punishing them, except in extreme cases.

20. Changes. The Honor Code may be updated in the future. If it is, an announcement will be posted on the Sissyfight homepage. Updates to the Honor Code may also be posted prominently on the message boards by the staff before they are included here. It's your responsibility to keep up to date on the Honor Code and know all the rules.
